If you have, you just landed in the RIGHT PLACE! I get it. I, too, was asking myself these same questions when I started my journey to understand why I wasn’t happy. I kept searching for the ‘next best thing‘ and couldn’t find it. I struggled with having a work/life balance, overloaded with stress and anxiety, and thinking this was normal! I believed this is how is it and just needed to suck in up.
What I found is most high achievers feel this way too. We think this is how it’s supposed to be, just a part of life and accept things as is. As I searched how to get out of the hole that I created for myself, I found the secret. I saw the power that already existed inside me, and I realized I didn’t need to numb myself to find it. Society has taught us that it’s okay to use coping aids and crutches to deal with life. I’m here to tell you it’s NOT normal to pop a Xanax while drinking a glass a wine just to fall asleep at night!
Maybe for you it’s food. Perhaps it’s pornograpy, gambling, gaming, social media, or your phone!! Whatever your numbing or coping aid choice is, there’s a better, healthier way to move out of the gray.
